Though poppies are "natives", PLEASE ONLY PLANT POPPIES IN URBAN AREAS. Sprinkling seeds
near wilderness areas can decimate locally specific strains of poppies that have adapted to your local wilderness area over thousands of years!

Thanks to S&S Seeds for their generosity; to those who shared their knowledge of poppies with me, most especially Orchid Black, Barbara Eisenstein, Dylan Hannon, and Beverly Lepak; to my family Robert, Rain, and Kai; to the participants and supporters of this project in South Pasadena and Highland Park, but especially the Knowles, Robert Chuchani, Herb Barnes, Martín, Pets with Fez Weaving Supplies, Caesar's Video, M&M Sports, and Yvonne at Foursquare; to Donna, Jennifer, Orchid, and Ann for helping to plant at Thanksgiving; to the Arroyo Arts Collective for organizing the Business Improvisation District project on York several years ago; finally, big thanks to the sky for continuing to provide rain.
Can the poppies hold their own against annual grasses? Keep updated at: http://atobcommute.blogspot.com/search/label/poppies
